Overview

In this hour-long, CME-eligible course for pediatricians, Cortica’s co-founder and chief medical officer, Dr. Suzanne Goh, MD, BCBA will provide a comprehensive understanding of autism diagnosis and management across medical, developmental, and behavioral domains, illustrated with case studies. She will also explore the latest research findings in autism, including co-occurring medical conditions, advances in pharmacological management, new developmental-behavioral best practices, and social skills strategies. 

By the end of this course, pediatricians will be able to:  

  • Define autism’s diagnostic criteria  

  • Explain the reasons for the rise in autism prevalence 

  • Recognize important considerations in the differential diagnosis of autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions 

  • Outline conditions that commonly co-occur with autism 

  • Understand pharmacological and nutritional intervention approaches for patients with autism 

  • Summarize the role that developmental therapies play in autism care 

  • Identify neurodiversity-affirming behavior therapy approaches for autism 

After attending the full course and completing its subsequent evaluation form, participants will receive 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ and a certificate of completion.
